On May 27, 2025, a delegation of 82 individuals from Chulalongkorn Business School (CBS), including 76 MBA students and 6 faculty and staff members, visited Hitotsubashi University.
The group attended a special lecture held at Mercury Tower, titled "Marketing across cultures: How do you sell sushi to people who have never had raw fish?" delivered by Professor Tsuyoshi Matsui of the Graduate School of Business Administration. The lecture focused on the localization strategies involved in introducing Japanese cuisine--such as sushi and ramen--into the U.S. market, and was followed by a lively Q&A session with the participants.
At the conclusion of the lecture, Professor Wataru Uehara, who coordinated this event at Hitotsubashi University, gave a closing speech expressing his hopes for the continued growth of the strong and friendly relationship between the two institutions.
Chulalongkorn University is one of the most prestigious national universities in Thailand. Under the academic exchange agreement between CBS and Hitotsubashi University's Faculty of Commerce and Management and Graduate School of Business Administration (SBA), the two institutions have been engaged in a wide range of collaborative activities, including student exchanges, joint seminars, and faculty research partnerships.
